Introduction
Any of the COTR staff would be glad to meet with you to discuss your
involvement in ministry. If you feel directed to begin a new area of ministry or want more help in determining where you fit into the current ministries we want to do all we can to help
you.
Purposes for us to Meet

- To help you assess the results from your ministry design profile.
- To help you review the various ministry options and opportunities.
- To help guide you into an agreed-upon area of ministry involvement.
- To help you make contact with the appropriate leader in that ministry area.
Reviewing Your Unique Ministry Design
Profile
Look for the ministry pattern to emerge that combines past experiences,
passions and interests, and giftedness together with ministry opportunities. Be sure to review each of the following areas:
Life experiences
Passions and interests
Personality
Natural giftedness
Spiritual giftedness
Past ministry experience
Your own self-evaluation
What you feel the Holy Spirit is putting in your heart to serve
Explore Your Creative Ministry

If an area of ministry interests you, but is not yet a ministry option
in the church, we encourage you to share their thoughts and ideas about beginning a new ministry at Church on the Ridge.

Questions
During the course of the meeting some of the following questions could
be asked to help us gather a more personal review of your background and current life situation.
- How did you come to faith in Jesus Christ?
- Who have been the most influential individuals in your personal journey towards
spiritual maturity?
- What are your current areas of ministry involvement?
- Where else have you served in the past?
- Were there any areas you really enjoyed? How about areas you disliked?
- How long have you been attending COTR?
- When did you become a Formal Member?
- Have you previously taken a spiritual gifts survey? Did it reveal anything different
than this one?
- Is there one gift you definitely feel you have?
- Which area of your ministry profile surprised or interested you the most?
Why?
- How accurate did you find the results of the profile to be?
- What does the word “servant hood” mean to you?
- How would you describe the pace of your life at this time?
- What motivates you the most in your desire to serve the Lord?
- Without feeling any pressure to share specifically, are there any areas in your life at
this time that may impact your ministry involvement in a negative way?
Next Steps:
- 1:1 meeting with the SHAPES facilitator and/or a COTR staff member

- Introduction to your new ministry leader
- Getting involved on a regular basis (You may change ministries to try out
different areas.)
- 60 days later.. follow-up with facilitator and/or SHAPE group.
